Pre Rocklands post

The last couple of months have been dominated by studying. I had my final exams for high-school and I spend several weekends locked up from early in the morning till the beginning of the evening at Leiden University for exam training ðŸ˜ž. Fortunately, the effort payed-off and I graduated with decent marks 😄. I’m already looking forward starting my study electrical engineering at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences. However, studying wasn’t over yet since I’m practicing for my drivers licence and I had to study for the theory exam which I passed yesterday.

Yesterday I had my last training with the sport climbing RTC-west training group. Because I will reach the age limit at the end of this year and  I will start my studies after the summer I decided stop before the summer holidays. I have been part of this training group from its inception in January 2013 and I'm the last of the original pack to leave. I really enjoyed being part of this group and thank all the RTC-west trainers that guided me through these years.

Now I’m really ready for my summer holiday! Tomorrow I will depart for a five-week climbing trip to the Rocklands in South Africa. Currently I’m not in the best climbing shape since my focus hasn’t been on climbing lately. Five weeks should however give me time to get in shape while I’m there. However which way it works out I can’t blame my shoes since I received two pairs of La Sportiva Solutions from my local bouldering gym Delfts Bleau. For which I’m very grateful.

See you after the summer holiday!
